Our Story

Ever since we started, we’ve been doing everything in our power to bring the best products to people and provide the most biosecure and compassionate care to animals. At Niki's Nest, Niki's focus is on the customer and the animals that mean so much to them. Niki's Nest makes all feel welcome and special. We offer a wide array of products made by Niki, an adult with Down Syndrome. These products include pet treats / cakes, snacks, edible eggs, composting worms, and worm castings.

Meet Nicole Rizer

Welcome to NIKI'S NEST!

Nicole Rizer, "Niki", is the owner of Niki's Nest. She was able to start her own business after being awarded an Alaskan Mental Health Trust Microenterprise Grant in March 2020. Niki was born with Down Syndrome, a developmental and physical disability. Prior to Covid Niki enjoyed participating regularly in Special Olympics and the Therapeutic Recreation activities offered by the borough. She began excelling at making pet treats and other edible goods while "quarantining" at home. Despite her challenges, Niki has heart and is a dedicated animal caretaker, skilled baker, and artist.
